This past summer, Lander resident Nick Twist grew tired of riding his bike in the heat without access to water. "I would be riding around town and notice the lack of publicly-available drinking stations. My options were to either buy water at a gas station or return home," Nick said. Instead, Nick chose a third option of working with the LOR Foundation to install four water stations around town — at Lander Middle School, the Pioneer Museum, the softball fields, and Dillon Park. This small action will help keep Landerites hydrated in excessive summer heat and enables people, like Nick, to embrace active transportation.
Thank you Nick and LOR for your positive contribution to Lander!
I feel fortunate to live in a community that values both physical activity and the natural world we share. Every step forward, no matter how small, contributes to meaningful progress.
